Dear Readers,
Some exciting things to report today! Today at the park Mitchell came up to me while I was sitting on the park bench, he grabbed my hand and and looked me straight in the face and smiled. He did not say anything as he pulled me up the jungle gym to the top of the Giant slide. He turned and looked in my face again and said, "Slide with me?" I was so excited and I yelled down to Crista and Rebekah what had just happened. I was so happy, I called Gloria and said, "Mitchell wanted me to slide with him." And I proceeded to tell her what had just happened. When we got back to the Hotel room Mitchell had gotten out his Dinosaurs and played with them after he was done playing Gloria found him picking them up on his own while singing the clean up song to himself! THIS IS A BIG DEAL!!
Kadin, has been unusually attentive and CALM. I thought maybe he was getting sick but he seems just fine and happy today just calm and focused. This is day two of this strange demeanor and I am loving it!! I was told this Treatment could calm the kids but I guess I never really thought it would happen with Kadin. (Still crossing my fingers) I hesitate sharing this with you all because I am afraid I will jinks myself and he will be back to his hyper crazy active self tomorrow. I am not holding my breath but I will say I am very "Optimistic" about this! Today has been a very long day and we are all looking forward to Monday so we can continue treatment.
Thank you all for your ongoing support!!
Much love!

Lazy days of summer......
Dear Readers,
On the Calender it is summer but if you step outside it feels like Fall. We stayed in the hotel for the morning and then Gloria and I took Ashtyn and Tanner to see "Kung Fu Panda 2" There happens to be a AMC less than a mile away from the hotel. We really enjoyed the movie and got back to the hotel around 3:30pm. Rebekah took Kadin swimming and to the park down the road and then swimming again. Kadin has been surprisingly calm today, when we were sitting in the hotel room he looked at books for a while peacfully and then wanted to look at the picture of His Pine tree at the farm. (I have a picture of it on my phone.)He laid by me for over 20min. I am hoping that this is a good side affect of treatment and NOT that he is getting sick. We have been here for 11 days and I got to work out for the first time. Looking forward to bed tonght and hope tomorrow goes fast. The week days fly by because we have a scheduled routine, it seems to be hard to entertain all the kids ages 15months to 8years old. Hopefuly Gloria, Rebekah, Crista and I will get to play cards or something tonight.
Signing off,
good night!

Does anyone know where Tanner is?
Dear Readers,
So shortly after we arrived home from our morning treatment I walked in the Hotel room with Kadin, Gloria followed behind with Mitchell and Tanner was no where to be seen. Gloria, "Where is Tanner, he was with you!" I said. Gloria responded, "I thought he got out of the van with you!" I said, "No, Kadin got out my door and Tanner should have gotten out your door." In a panic I ran through the Hotel looking for him, I had grabbed my van keys to also check the Van. I got out to the van and unlocked the door to find Tanner calmly sitting in his seat. I said, "Tanner, why didn't you get out of the van with Gloria?" He said, "There you are. I was waiting for you, you left me." I got him out of the van and walked back to the room to explain what happened to the others. Gloria thought he was hiding in the van but Tanner claims he was not hiding. Anyway, the good news is he was found and he was fine. I keep thinking any other child would have been screaming and maybe even banging on the windows due to the fact that the door were locked. I felt like the worst mom ever even though Tanner seemed unphased.
Our Afternoon treatment went good too and Rebekah and Crista got to see the center and the Chambers for the first time. After the second session we took the kids to a park and they all were so excited to see a huge slide and big jungle gym. There was a long stair case up to the 3 story slide and it appeared to me that Kadin was kissing every step that lead up to the top of the slide. I even yelled to him and said, "Kadin are you pretending your in Israel?" Mitchell and Kadin kept going down the slide and running around and climbing the sacred stairs. Kadin also went nuts on the monkey bars swinging and hanging etc. I told Crista that Kadin has not gotten to do that since we arrived here. When we all were back at the hotel Kadin said to Rebekah, "Becca, I want to sleep!" She was so excited she came into Gloria's room where I was to tell me. Of course we all were so happy and Rebekah said that this was the first sentence she has ever heard Kadin say. Rebekah has been with us for close to a year now and we just adore her and we are so glad she was able to come for a couple weeks to help out. It is now 9:32 and Gloria just walked in with vodka Gimlet's for us so I'd better sign off for tonight.
GOOOOOOD Night!

Thank God for the Rienforcements!
Dear Readers,
The clouds have parted and today is a new day! Both Treatments went very well and Krista (Mitchell's new PCA) and Rebekah (Kadin and Tanner's PCA) Arrived around 2:30pm. Karin left around 3:15pm and everyone is happy and calm!! The Kids went swimming with the PCA's and Gloria and I FINALLY had a real break! After the kids ate dinner we left them in the care of Krista and Rebekah and went Bowling! I am going to post the pics on my facebook page later. We ordered a 16" pizza thinking we would have lots of left overs for tomorrow, but guess what? We ate every last bite and the two Long Island Tea's (each) were Heavenly! I think we bowled for 2 hours and we got home around 9pm. Best part is the kids were sleeping when we got home! Gloria and I had so much fun, it is just what we needed after yesterday.
Kadin, seems a lot calmer today and more attentive to me. His favorite book these days is "A Color Of His Own" by Leo Lionii and I think we read it about 20 + times today! That is also All he wanted to do while in treatment for the morning and afternoon session. Anyway, I am so happy to tell you today was GREAT and I treasure all of you that are supporting us in this time! Any and every comment of encouragement is so appreciated.
Much love,
The not so crazy lady :)

Hard Day......
Dear Readers,
I don't even know how to start this blog. Lets just say it was a Dove silk chocolate day (whole bag), a double whisky coke day (and I normally don't drink whisky coke, ask my friends) and anything that is considered a comfort food, day. Both treatments went fine it was outside of the treatments that put me past my threshold. The kids seem to be at each others throats and Kadin seemed to be on "speed" every time I turned around something else was happening. I came very close to going over that line, you know the line of becoming a crazy lady. I don't feel the need to list everything that went on today just that I am sooo Happy my sister was here because I really needed her to come access my situation. After the worst, or what I thought was the worst, I walked over to Gloria's room and said I really need a drink! The kids had started to settle and I gave Kadin his pills before bed, he was just getting settled and I could slowly start to feel my shoulders relaxing when a pounding on our hotel door startled me. Gloria or Karin opened the door and stated that we all needed to move into the hallway due to the "Tornado" watch! What the bleepedy bleep is going on today?? Kadin started screaming when I tried getting him out of bed, I picked all 60lbs of him up along with a pillow and headed for the hall praying this would not last long. Kadin settled in the hall and I laid him on the floor on his pillow and Karin had a blanket he could use. Ashtyn and Tanner were scared and Tanner said, "Mom, where is dad?" I said dad is a long way away and he is fine, we are the ones that have the tornado warning." Tanner then said, "Why didn't we watch the news to see that their was going to be a tornado?" I said, well we just found out about it." Ashtyn was pretty scared and I told her, "honey we don't need to be scared we have guardian angles watching over us, God will keep us safe." We were in the hall for about 1/2hour and then were told we could go back to our rooms. The kids are now all sleeping and I am, well, on the computer writing to you all. Tears are rolling down my face and I am glad this day is finally coming to a close. I love my children so much but sometimes "Autism" kicks my butt and today was one of those days. It makes it doubly hard when your in a hotel room for an extended time and your husband is 250 miles away. I am not regretting coming here, I am seeing little bits of improvement here and there and we are only a week into the treatments just imagine what 40 treatments will do!
Dear Lord, please send me a few more guardian angles and a bit more energy.
Good night!

Hot! Hot! Hot!
Dear Readers,
What is going on with this weather?? It is either to cold to pretend it's summer or to hot to be outside! Thank God for AC and the Target down the road where i bought my box fan! Anyway, our morning treatment or "Dive" as they call it went well and i managed to keep the boys occupied while I wrote a letter to my Grandma Leona. I continue to see little sparks of light with Kadin. I noticed today that almost every time I asked him a question his response seems to be faster For example it seems to be an immediate to 1 second delay response rather than a 5 to 10 second delay in response). This afternoon session went OK, Kadin did not want to go to the center he screamed all the way there and then he screamed in the room when we were getting ready to go in the tank. I don't know if there is anything worse than Kadin earth shattering scream inside a enclosed metal tank. i got him to settle down and proceeded to turn on the DVD player when I discovered that we forgot the DVD's. OMG What was I going to do with Kadin for an hour in this tank? Lucky for Tanner I charged the I pod so he could play games the whole time and that left me with Kadin singing songs and enduring a million pinches on my inner arm while he laid beside me in the tank. I have the bruses to prove it. Do I need to say this was the longest hour EVER. After the session we went back to the hotel and hit the pool. Gloria, bless her heart, got all the ingredients for tuna melts and drove back to the center before it closed at 5pm to back them in the oven. Yum! Yum! Thanks Gloria. Well, my sister and Karin (Mitchells PCA) are going to attempt to play cards tonight, we will see how that goes, hopefully the kids will go down without a hitch.
P.S. Karin keeps trying to get Mitchell to say her name correctly....Mitchell say Karin...... (Mitchell response) Carrot! There you go Karin is now known as Carrot.
Please don't hesitate to shoot me a message via facebook or comment on the blog site i really like hearing from you guys!!

Great things happening in Madison WI!
Dear Readers,
You know how when your infant says it's first word how you freak out and make a big deal about it? Well, we were hanging out in our hotel room making dinner (you know the kind you can put in the microwave or open with a can opener)ever so quietly Mitchell managed to find the box of instant oatmeal and got a packet out and walked over to Gloria and handing her the packet said, "Want oatmeal!" Gloria screamed, "Marjorie get in here!" I went in to their room and Karin (Mitchell's PCA) and Gloria told me what happened I stated screaming, "Good Job Mitchell, you asked mom for oatmeal!" Yay Mitchell!! He had a smile on his face because we were all praising him, I turned to look at Gloria and it looked like she had tears in her eyes. I said, "Gloria, make sure you write this down." (For those of you who do not know who Mitchell is, he is my sisters 3 year old son who has Autism and speech impairment and he is also doing this Hyperbaric treatment along with my boys.)
About 20 min. before we were to leave for our afternoon apt. the cleaning lady cam to our rooms, we propped Gloria's door open so i could still have my door closed and the alarm on so Kadin could not escape. Anyway the joining room door was open and Kadin made his way over to Gloria's room when everyone had their backs turned Kadin took off out the door. As soon as I saw he was gone I ran down the hall and tried the pool door which, Thank God , was locked. I then ran out the front automatic doors to the Hotel to find Kadin out in the parking lot in his Pull-up. Do I need to say my heart was racing a mile a min? I hope to God that never happens again while we are here.
Aside from the drama our Treatments went very well, in fact I would say they were the best so far. Gloria and I were nervous about going in today due to the fact that we had not been in the chambers for two days. We were pleasantly surprised when they went so well. The one downfall was after our first "Dive", as they call it, Tanner pulled of his plastic hood and ripped the rubber around the neck resulting in a $55 dollar addition to our already huge bill. I guess I should have had an allowance for unforeseen mishaps. If their were a day that I needed a drink to help me relax it is today. Speaking of that, I need to get back to my whiskey coke!
